Former NFL Player - Kevin Johnson

 

Kevin L. Johnson  (born   July 15,  1976  in  Trenton, New Jersey) is a former professional  American football  player who played  wide receiver  in college for  Syracuse University, then for seven seasons for the  Cleveland Browns, theJacksonville Jaguars, the  Baltimore Ravens, and the  Detroit Lions. He scored the first touchdown in the history of the new Cleveland Browns. He caught a deep pass fromTim Couch  for a touchdown as time expired versus the  New Orleans Saints.

Kevin was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the second round in the  1999 NFL Draft. He played for the Browns until 2002, when he was cut mid-season by  head coachPaul Hilton "Butch" Davis. He was subsequently claimed by 16 teams, and awarded to the Jaguars. He was then traded to the Ravens, and 1 year later signed a  free agentcontract with the Lions. He is a free agent, most recently working out for the  New England Patriots.
